Retreat Anand is located on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Lansdowne, in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand.
This small charismatic hill station was initially developed by British, who frequented here to give themselves relief from the scorching heat of plains in North India and named it after then viceroy of India, Lord Lansdowne. Even after British left India, this town continued to be called Lansdowne and became popular among Indian Tourists. Its proximity with the North Indian plains has today made Lansdowne one of the favourite holiday tourist destinations in the state Uttarakhand. Every year hundreds and thousands of Tourist visit Lansdowne to witness its breath taking beauty and lovely weather. In our effort to provide good tourist infrastructure and facilities in the town of Lansdowne, Retreat Anand was conceived and developed as a Jungle Resort by its owners who are locals from this beautiful town.
