Baccha Party arrives at 92.7 BIG FM to mark World Population Day
Posted On:ay. The world population is all set to reach the seven billion mark in October 2011 raising concerns worldwide. India's current population is estimated at 1.21 billion which effectively means that about one seventh of the world population resides in India!
The BIG FM studios were loaded with children who brought alive the image of an overcrowded world. BIG FM addressed this grave issue by bringing in a diverse mix of kids from GEMS International School, Palamvihar who together expressed their feelings of living in a populous country and did a gig to demonstrate the adversities of an over populated, crowded and burdened existence. Around 120 students were in the studio of 8*8 for almost 20 minutes. The RJ did a live show from the jam-packed studio with children, to showcase the dearth of space as the population is increasing every second. The children also spoke about the vicious circle of population which further leads to numerous other world problems like poverty, illiteracy, deterioration of resources and many more.
Commenting on this, Mr. Soumen Choudhury, Ex. Vice President & Business Head, 92.7 BIG FM & BIG Magic
